3/8" Rocker Studs / Guide Plate Kit

 Select- Small Block Ford with 5/16" Pushrod's- NOT FOR SBF w/ PEDESTAL MOUNT HEADS

Use this kit to convert early heads which came with pressed in studs or use on aftermarket heads w/ std valve spacing.

This package includes sixteen 3/8" Rocker Studs & eight flat style guide plates to suit SB Fords.

     Fits:

• SB Ford heads machined to accept screw in studs w/ 7/16" NC base threads and guide plates
  
• * Heads w/ pressed in studs require pressed in stud removal and machine work before installation
• Not for use on pedestal mount heads w/ small 5/16" threads
  

     General Stud Specs:

• 2.480" Overall Length
• .950" Upper Thread Length
• 1.750" Effective Length
• .685" Base Thread Length
• Hex Size- 5/8"
  
• 7/16" NC bottom threads
• 3/8" NF top threads, see *note 3
  

     Guide Plates:

• Flat Style
• Hardened Steel
• Use w/ 5/16" Pushrods
• For std valve spacing applications
• Can be fitted to any SBF casting which originally came w/ pressed in studs or aftermarket heads.
  

Not for aftermarket heads with unique valve center-line spacing.

* NOTE 1: Many OE SBF heads use pressed in studs. Heads with pressed in studs require stud removal and machine work.

* NOTE- 2: These are not intended for SB Fords w/ pedestal mount rockers. Pedestal mount rockers use a small 5/16" thread which would need to be drilled and tapped to 7/16" NC

*NOTE- 3 Do not use crimp style adjuster nuts w/o appropriate lubrication
