Use on OE type LS Series Heads with .499"/.500" Guides

Valve Spring ID Locators, .080" base thickness

LS Series Chevrolet / GM engines using dual springs.

These valve spring locators are manufactured using 4140 chrome moly steel bar stock then heat treated to resist wear.

We made these with a .080" base thickness. This was done to achieve .020" less installed height over common .060" base locators. Those interested in reducing their installed height by .020" find these very useful.

A good solution for heads which have too much installed height.

We also carry them in a .060" version- check our other listings.

This size is for OE and select aftermarket heads with a .500” outside diameter valve guide.

Some aftermarket LS series heads have .562" guides which require a different locator. If you have aftermarket heads, simply measure the guide OD to verify fitment.
